Application Requirements and Calendar

Only candidates who graduated from Psychology departments of universities are accepted to the program.

Program application requirements:

- To have at least 70 points from ALES in equal weighted score type (Exams and equivalent scores announced by the Council of Higher Education can be used instead of ALES),

- Having an academic average of at least 2.80

-TED University English Language School English language proficiency criteria must be met. TED University graduates are not required to provide separate proof of English language proficiency for enrollment in graduate programs.

In order to meet the English language proficiency criteria, it is necessary to have one of the following criteria:

A minimum score of 70 on the TEDU-EPE/IYS exam

Minimum 80 points from YDS/e-YDS exam

Minimum score of 80 from YÖKDİL

TOEFL-IBT with a minimum score of 79 (essay score of at least 20)

Minimum 6.5 in IELTS (at least 5.5 in each section)

Information About the TEDÜ English Proficiency Exam
English language proficiency can be determined through the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) administered by our University. National or international language exams whose equivalency for graduate programs has been determined by the Senate may also be used as proof of English proficiency. Detailed information is available at https://els.tedu.edu.tr/.
Graduate applicants who cannot demonstrate English proficiency may take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) to be held on August 4–5, 2026.
Graduates of our University are not required to provide additional proof of English proficiency for enrollment in graduate programs.
Steps to Follow During the Application Period to Take the Exam
Applicants wishing to take the exam must complete their applications by July 29, 2026, at the latest.
The exam application fee must be paid to the Office of Financial Affairs by July 29, 2026, at the latest.

Proof of payment must be submitted to the English Language School Administrative Office along with a written request.

Information regarding the exam date, time, and exam room will be sent to the email address provided by the applicant in their application letter via els@tedu.edu.tr.

- ALES Requirement for Doctoral Degree Candidates: “Doctorate / proficiency in art / specialization in medicine / specialization in dentistry / specialization in dentistry / specialization in veterinary medicine / specialization in pharmacy” graduates who apply to graduate programs affiliated to TED University, Graduate Programs Institute are not required to take ALES and the ALES score of those who do not take ALES among the candidates with these degrees in all programs is accepted as 70.

- Undergraduate GPA requirement for applicants with a Master's or PhD degree in Psychology: Applicants who hold a master's (MSc) or doctoral (PhD) degree in Psychology are considered to have met the 2.80 undergraduate GPA requirement. The GPA of these candidates is calculated as at least 2.80. Averages above 2.80 are directly included in the calculation.

- Foreign national candidates are required to know Turkish at least at B2 (TÖMER) level and document this.

-ALES/GRE result certificate

-English Proficiency Certificate (YDS/YÖKDİL/TOEFL/IELTS/TEDU EPE)

-Bachelor's degree diploma and graduation certificate

-Photocopy of identity card

-Military status certificate

-Letter of intent (in English)

-Diploma equivalency certificate (For candidates who graduated from universities abroad)

-Letter of reference (2 pieces)*

** It is also possible to submit the letter of intent, curriculum vitae and reference documents by hand at the science exam on August 17.

Application dates: May 4-June 25 (for international students)

                                   May 4-August 7(general application process)

Written science exam date: August 17, 2026

Oral science exam dates: August 18-19, 2026
