About us

Clinical Psychology is a field in which scientific knowledge is produced and used for the assessment of child mental health, prevention and psychotherapy of childhood mental health problems. The main topics of interest in this field are the determination of basic psychological needs in infancy, childhood and adolescence; the effects of family and other social environments on the child's psychosocial and behavioral adaptation, cognitive development and health status; the development and implementation of psychological services to be provided to infants, children and adolescents within their own social contexts.

With the increasing awareness of the long-term negative effects of child mental health problems on individuals, families and societies, both the “field of child mental health” and the training of specialists to work in this field have become increasingly important all over the world.
